IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.

I HAD A WHOLE BUNCH OF FUN.

I WAS PLAYING BOCCE BALL AND I AM NOW DICKINSON'S BOCCE BALL CHAMPION, MYSELF AND MY AUNT ROBBIE .

UM, SO COME AT ME NEXT YEAR.

AND THEN THE LAST THING, WE HAD OUR EDUCATION, DICKINSON EDUCATION FOUNDATION GALA LAST WEEKEND.

UM, I'VE BEEN THE VP OF FINANCE FOR THEM FOR ALMOST FOUR YEARS NOW.

UM, AND THIS WILL BE ANOTHER RECORD SETTING YEAR.

UM, SO I WANNA THANK ALL OF THE COUNCIL MEMBERS AS WELL AS ANY OF THE CITY STAFF THAT WAS THERE.

UM, Y'ALL DEFINITELY HELP MAKE THIS THING A HUGE SUCCESS.

UH, RIGHT NOW WE'RE SITTING JUST UNDER ABOUT $250,000 AND WE'RE STILL COUNTING.

UM, SO IT WAS, UH, IT, IT WAS AWESOME.

AND I JUST WANNA SAY THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY.

WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

UH, THE MAYOR STOLE VIRTUALLY ALL OF MY THUNDER ON THE, THE, FOR THOSE THAT CAME OUT TO THE ITALIAN FESTIVAL, IT WAS A WONDERFUL TIME.

BY ALL WEATHER WAS PERFECT.

WE HAD A GREAT CROWDS HERE.

UH, THE ONLY THING I THAT I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT, THE FIRE WE HAD, UH, WITH THE HELP OF THE DICKINSON FIRE DEPARTMENT AND FOUR OTHER AGENCIES IN THE AREA, THEY WERE ABLE TO KNOCK THAT FIRE DOWN VERY QUICKLY.

AND WE HAD ABOUT 25 MILE AN HOUR WINDS WHILE IT WAS GOING ON.

THOSE HOUSES ARE BUILT VERY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER, AND BY THE GRACE OF GOD, THEY GOT THERE JUST IN TIME.

GOT ENOUGH WATER ON IT TO PUT IT OUT.

AND WERE VERY THANKFUL TO EVERYBODY THAT SHOWED UP OUT THERE.

UH, 'CAUSE IT COULD HAVE REALLY BEEN BAD OUT THERE.

UH, THE DICKENS AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION WAS FANTASTIC.

EVERYBODY ENJOYED IT, AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR ON THAT.

UH, COUNCILMAN TOWNSEND AND I DROVE THE CITY LOOKING AT THE, THE SMALL DRAINAGES IN OUR TOWN, AND WE GOT A BOND TO COVER SOME OF THESE THINGS.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY FEELS THE WEIGHT OF WHAT HAPPENED, AND WE STAND WITH THOSE RECOVERING AND REBUILDING.

I ALSO WANNA PUBLICLY RECOGNIZE AND THANK THE DICKINSON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR INCREDIBLE RESPONSE.

CHIEF MORGAN, ASSISTANT CHIEF BILLOT AND EVERY FIREFIGHTER ON SCENE THAT DAY DEMONSTRATED COURAGE, PROFESSIONALISM, AND A DEEP COMMITMENT TO PROTECTING LIFE AND PROPERTY.

NOW I'M EXCITED TO SHARE SOME GOOD NEWS THIS EVENING.

THE FISCAL YEAR 2025 FINANCIAL AUDIT HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY COMPLETED, AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN EIGHT YEARS, THE CITY OF DICKINSON HAS FINISHED ITS AUDIT AND COMPLETED ON TIME.

THIS IS A MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT AND A CLEAR SIGN THAT OUR CITY IS MOVING FORWARD IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT.

IT HAPPENS BECAUSE OF FOCUS, DISCIPLINE, AND HARD WORK OF OUR DEDICATED STAFF.

I WANNA GIVE A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR FINANCE DIRECTOR, SARAH CLARK AND HER ENTIRE TEAM.

YOUR COMMITMENT, LONG HOURS AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL MADE THIS POSSIBLE.

AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS.

I'VE MET WITH MR. KERRY A FEW DIFFERENT TIMES, AND I APPRECIATE THE PASSION THAT HE HAS AND HE BRINGS TOWARDS THE CITY AND TOWARDS COLLABORATING IN THE BEST WAY WE CAN.

MY INTENTION TONIGHT IS TO KIND OF GO OVER THE CAPITAL PROJECTS THAT WE'RE WORKING ON OR THE MAJOR PROJECTS THAT WE'RE WORKING ON, AND THEN KIND OF OPEN IT UP TO Y'ALL TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE OF THE, OF THE DISTRICT, OF THE WATER DISTRICT.

WHAT YOU HAVE BEFORE YOU IS A, IS A PICTURE OF OUR 16 INCH WATER LINE.

THIS IS ON THE WEST SIDE OF TOWN.

UH, THIS IS CLOSE TO, I WOULD SAY CLOSE TO THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM.

IT'S CLOSE TO STARBUCKS, CLOSE TO A BUNCH OF RESIDENCES WHERE PEOPLE WERE WORKING.

WE'RE PRETTY MUCH, WE'RE PRETTY MUCH DONE WITH THIS PORTION OF THE PROJECT.

WE'RE DID A PUNCH LIST TWO WEEKS AGO AND WE'RE, YOU KNOW, GETTING EVERYTHING DONE.

GETTING EVERYTHING DONE.

THIS LINE INCLUDED APPROXIMATELY 4,425 LINEAR FEET OF WATER, LINE 15 FIRE HYDRANTS AND SEVERAL SERVICES.

THE NEXT ONE IS A SMALL, SMALL LITTLE RE LIFT STATION REHAB THAT WE DID.

THIS IS, UH, WE REDID THE PIPE PIPING IN-HOUSE AND WE DID THE, THE COATING ON THE ACTUAL LIFT STATION ITSELF.

THIS IS OUR DE DE HOPKINS LIFT STATION.

COMBINED FORCE POINT FORCE, AH, FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT.

THIS IS A 12 INCH LINE.

IT'S, UM, CONNECTING TWO, TWO LIFT STATIONS.

THE LINE ITSELF IS APPROXIMATELY 1,651 OF YOUR FEET AND HAS TWO, AND HAS A AIR RELIEF VALVE ON IT AS IT'S GOING AT A CERTAIN ANGLE AND THEN RELEASES THE AIR TO HELP WITH THE HELP WITH THE FLOW.

THIS PROJECT IS PRETTY CLOSE TO BEING COMPLETE.

IT'S AS A 90 DAY TIME AND WE'LL

FINISH PROBABLY CLOSER TO 60 16 INCH.

FORCE MAIN IS A, IS A LINE THAT WE'RE DOING PRIMARILY WITH IN-HOUSE FORCES.

IT'S ROUGHLY 4,101 YEAR FEET AND TWO AIR RELIEF VALVES.

UH, THIS WORK STARTED IN DECEMBER.

WE HAD SOME CONTRACTORS DO THE HEAVY LIFTING UNDERNEATH FIVE 17, AND WE'RE DOING THE REMAINING PORTIONS, LIKE I SAID, ALL IN HOUSE.

WE'RE CONTINUING TO WORK ON, THIS IS PHASE TWO OF OUR HOLLYWOOD WATER PLANT REHABILITATION.

WITH ANY REHABILITATION, TYPICALLY THERE'S DEMOLITION AND THAT'S WHAT YOU GET A PICTURE OF THE DEMOLITION OF, OF A PORTION OF THE, OF THE, UH, PUMP STATION.

THIS WILL ALSO HOUSE A STANDBY GENERATOR.

THERE'LL BE, THAT'LL BE NEEDED, THAT'LL BE AVAILABLE WHEN NEEDED.

THE LAST PROJECT I'M GONNA TALK ABOUT IS OUR FIVE 17 WEST 36 INCH SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION.

WITH THIS, WE ARE REHABILITATING ROUGHLY 5,951 YEAR FEET OF 36 INCH LINE.

WE'RE SLIP LINING THAT WITH A, WITH A FIBER REINFORCED PIPE, SO WE'LL SLIP ON IT WITH, WITH SERVICES BEING CONTINUED AT THE WHOLE TIME.

UM, THIS IS A PROJECT THAT SHOULD LAST 240 CALENDAR DAYS.

WE'RE CLOSE TO GIVING THE NOTICE TO PROCEED AS THE BIGGEST PROJECT ON.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE ON THAT IS GETTING THE SUBMITTALS FOR THE FRP AND GETTING THOSE APPROVED, WHICH WE'RE APPROVING THAT THIS WEEK.

THE LEAD TIME ON, THAT'S ROUGHLY TWO MONTHS FOR THE PIPE, AND THEN THEY'LL, THEN THE CONTRACTOR WILL GET STARTED.

THIS PROJECT IS ROUGHLY TWO AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS.

THOSE ARE THE MAIN PROJECTS THAT THE DISTRICT HAS GOING ON RIGHT NOW.

AND I KIND OF WANTED TO OPEN IT UP TO COUNCIL IF THEY HAD ANY QUESTIONS OF ME.

AND BEFORE THAT, BEFORE I SAY THAT, I DID WANNA SAY CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THE AUDIT DONE.

THAT IS A, THAT IS A VERY GOOD THING TO GET, GET AUDIT.

OUR PLANS PLAN TO TAKE IT ALL THE WAY OUT TO THE, BASICALLY OUR DISTRICT LIMITS AND ALSO TIE THAT IN WITH DOING SOME EXPANSION AT THE WESTWATER PLANT.
