SO ORIGINALLY I WAS GONNA BUILD NINE BUILDINGS AND, BUT WE HAD TO GO AHEAD AND PAY, UH, THE CITY TO BRING THE WATER IN THE SEWAGE FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET, DUG UNDERNEATH TO COME ON THIS SIDE.

SO THAT WAS MY INTENT, UH, FROM, FROM DAY ONE TO JUST BUILD OUT AND BUILD OUT.

UNFORTUNATELY, I BUILT MY FIRST BUILDING IN 2006 WHEN IT WAS COMPLETED, IT WAS 2007.

AND SO I SAW THEY COULD HAVE ANYTHING THAT THE HOUSING WAS GONNA EVER COME BACK.

BY THE TIME WHEN I DID IT, GALVESTON COUNTY OWNED IT.

SO THEN SEVERAL YEARS LATER, IT WAS ANNEXED BY, UH, THE CITY OF DICKINSON IN 2017, WE BILLED THE SECOND ONE.

WE HAD TO GET THE APPROVAL.

AT THAT TIME, I KNEW I WAS GONNA BUILD TWO MORE.

SO WE GOT A, UH, A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR AT THAT TIME SAYING THAT, YOU KNOW, WE CAN BE, UH, BE HONEST, AS TRAVIS HAS SAID, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GUYS HAVE EVER TURNED DOWN THAT STREET.

I'M NOT ALUM AWAY.

I HAVE BEEN CUTTING THAT GRASS FOR THE LAST, WHAT, 20 YEARS.

YOU KNOW, I MADE SURE THAT MY, UH, TENANTS KEEP UP THE YARD.

WE DON'T LEAVE THE CRASH OUTSIDE.

ONE LANE OF THAT SPEED IS COMPLETELY FILLED WITH CO FROM TEXAS AVENUE ALL THE WAY TO SEA.

SO THAT ONLY LEAVES ONE LANE.

I TOOK THE TRAFFIC AND IT'S LIKE OFTEN TIME I CAN'T GET OUT OF MY DRIVE BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE ALREADY FRONT AND YOU HAVE TO NEGOTIATE.

SOMEBODY HAS TO BACK UP, SOMEBODY HAS TO FORWARD SO I CAN GET AWAY.

AND IF THEY NEED A CAR COMING, I HAVE NO , I'M GONNA HAVE TO BACK UP INTO MY HOUSE FOR THE CAR ONCOMING HAS TO GO TO SOMEBODY ELSE'S DRIVEWAY TO LET ME ASK THIS CONGESTION ISSUE.

AND I KNOW MR. PI MET THE FIRST TIME HE CAME OVER THERE TO BUSINESS FIRST VERY NICELY.

AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT WANNA STAND ON THE WAY OF HIS PROGRESS.

BUT THE ISSUE IS THAT WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM, THIS CONGESTION WITH TRAFFIC, IF AT LEAST THERE WAS SOME SHOULDER OR CAUSE TO NEGOTIATE AROUND, MAYBE IT COULD WORK.

BUT THE PRESENT SITUATION UNDER THE PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES, IT IS NOT FREE.

IT'S NOT FAIR IF THE PARENTS WANT WALK UP WITH CHILDREN, IT'S NOT FAIR TO, THE REST OF THE COMMUNITY IS NOT RELEVANT TO MR. PIERCE'S PARENTS WHO WOULD HAVE THE SAME ISSUE THAT YOUR OFFICE.
